Filling in the Gaps

This past week has been a busy one for us. Here's a little recap broken down, in no particular order, by the good and the bad (sorry, no ugly):

Good: Sam got over last weekend's betrayal pretty quickly.

Bad: Our car was leaking coolant and is currently in the shop. We'll find out more shortly.

Good: The truck came in handy for taking stuff to school.

Bad: I've been going into work for Curriculum Writing last week and this coming week.

Good: I get paid for it.

Good: While most schools are worrying about funding to keep the arts in school, our school is a Visual and Performing Arts magnet so we're guaranteed all of our resources (Art, Music, Strings, Dance, Drama, Creative Writing, PE and, of course, Media).

Good: I got to see Larry Bell speak again last Friday... so inspiring!!!

Bad: Due to the car issues and work, I had to miss the Family Reunion this weekend.

Good: Sara and I had our own little family reunion of sorts.

Bad: I hadn't gotten new jeans in a couple years and all of the ones I had were -ahem- tight.

Good: I went shopping for the first time in forever and got some new clothes.

Bad: Tim's xBox got the Red Ring of Death.

Good: We mailed the xBox in on Monday and heard back from them on Friday saying that it was on it's way home.

Good: Microsoft foots the bill.

Good: Thrillville: Off the Rails, the video game that was pretty hard to find, arrived in the mail.

Bad: I stayed up way too late playing and had to get up early the next day for work.

Good: We went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Bad: They left out a lot of details from the book and it was a bit disappointing.

Good: It was still one of the best of the Harry Potter movies.

Good: Our clean house.

Bad: Cleaning the house.

Good: Listening to music while dancing around and cleaning the house.

Good: New glasses and contacts - YAY!

Good: Pre-tax Medical Flexible Spending Accounts.
