We Feast Again!

We had a much less eventful 4th this year and as my mom would say, "No news is good news!" Since the 4th fell in the middle of the work week, we decided to kick back and relax at home instead of going out this year. Around dusk we grilled out back. We were treated to quite a fireworks show from all around the neighborhood! We also enjoyed our traditional sparklers (pictured above).

Tim is looking for my flip-flop here.
It somehow *flopped* off my foot and out of sight...in the dark.
I know, I know. I even amaze myself sometimes!
Maybe the 'toe incident' is not entirely the fault of the shoe culprit.

Our July 4th Menu
My sister is an *amazing* cook. She relishes in making healthy vegetarian dishes that are full of flavor and variety. As far back as I can remember, she's always regarded food with a respect that most do not. She thinks about food. She savors food. She may be skinny, but she can out eat the best of 'em! Another thing Sara has done as far back as I can remember is take pictures of her food. Seriously...when cameras used to have film...she would take like 3 shots and then wait to see if they came out. The invention of digit cameras just made this easier for her. So Sara, this is for you! :o)
